The speedsters Dushmantha Chameera, Dilshan Madushanka and Batter Danishka Gunathilaka have already been ruled out of the tournament due to injuries, while Pathum Nissanka and Pramod Madushan remain with the squad, recovering from their injuries.
As a result, Dickwella, Fernando and Pathirana will leave for Australia as cover for the injured players along with Tim McCaskill, the Head of High Performance at Sri Lanka Cricket. They are expected to train separately in Sydney and will be drafted into the squad if required.
