The encounter between Nondescripts Cricket Club (NCC) and Sebastianites Cricket and Athletic Club of SLC Major Clubs 3-Day Tournament got underway today (29th June) at NCC Grounds, Colombo.
Sebastianites skipper Shashrika Pussegolla won the toss and opted to bat first, but couldn’t impress with the bat as they were bowled out for just 120 runs.

Ashian Daniel and Asel Sigera had excellent outings with the ball as they managed to pick up 3 wickets each for NCC.
In reply, NCC got off to a brilliant start thanks to their opening pair Niroshan Dickwella and Lahiru Udara who put on a 195-run stand for the first wicket.
Dickwella went on to score a blistering century, smashing 122 runs off 95 balls with 15 fours and a six at a strike rate of 128.42.

A couple of rain delays and bad light brought early stumps for the first day’s play. Udara remained unbeaten on 84 runs at the close of play.
