The final of the National Super League 4-day Tournament between Kandy and Jaffna continued for day three today (09th April), at Galle International Cricket Stadium.
Jaffna resumed their first innings on day three at 42/1, but did not impress with the bat as they were bowled out for 227 runs in 89.1 overs.
Nishan Madushka top-scored with a knock of 57 runs off 124 balls with 5 fours. Sri Lanka’s premier Test spinner Lasith Embuldeniya was the pick of the bowlers for Kandy as he bagged 4 scalps for 100 runs.
Kandy began their second innings 217 runs ahead and put on 52 runs for 1 wicket before the bad light stopped play for day three.
