Oshada Fernando, Kusal Mendis & Kamindu Mendis scored centuries in the second day of the Semi-Finals of National Super League 4-day Tournament, played today (01st April) at Hambantota and Pallekele.
Colombo vs Jaffna
After being 224/6 at stumps on day one, Colombo was bowled out for 272 for their first innings. Kusal Mendis stroked a brilliant century (114 runs off 241 balls with 10 fours), rescuing Colombo innings on day two.
The sSkipperkipper Dhananjaya De Silva was the pick of the bowlers for Jaffna as he bagged 5 scalps for 48 runs. The spinners Jeffrey Vandersay and Dilum Sudeera also chipped in by taking 2 wickets each.
In reply, the Jaffna batters also struggled on Hambantota surface as they lost 8 wickets for 204 runs at stumps on day two. Saminda Fernando remained unbeaten, scoring 76 runs off 177 balls with 3 fours for Jaffna.
The 22-year old Kavika Dilshan had an impressive outing with the ball for Colombo as he dismissed 4 wickets for 85 runs.

Kandy vs Galle
Kandy continued their domination with the bat on day two as well, posting a massive score of 447/8 for their first innings before bad light stopped play for day two.
Oshada Fernando continued his fine form with the bat, scoring his 3rd century of the tournament. Fernando top-scored with a knock of 127 runs off 238 balls with 10 fours and 2 sixes. The Skipper Kamindu Mendis brought up his 4th century of the tournament, scoring 108 runs off 150 balls with 9 fours and a six.
Dhananjaya Lakshan, Dilshan Madushanka and Akila Dananjaya starred with the ball for Galle, picking up 2 wickets each.
