The Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union has decided to shift the Dialog Rugby League A division games in the second round, that were scheduled to be kicked off at 4.00 p.m., to 4.30 pm due to the prevalent weather conditions.
This move comes after a request sent forward by several clubs taking note of the dry and humid conditions prevailing in the island at the moment. With the earlier timings, when the games used to start at 4.00 p.m, the players would be required to come out for their warm-ups by 3.15 at least. However, with the prevailing weather, the players have expressed that it has been quite difficult for them to deal with the heat and humidity.
Thereby as a solution, the SLRFU has decided to go with a kick off time of 4.30 p.m. for the remainder of the Dialog Rugby League. The adjusted match schedule for the upcoming games of the league is as follows:
