The President’s Gold Cup tournament which has a history spanning over two decades is sponsored by Sri Lanka’s premier connectivity provider, Dialog Axiata for the 12th consecutive year, reaffirming the company’s commitment for the development of the country’s national sport.
The President’s Gold Cup is hosted by the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation, and will be worked off island wide over a period of four months, attracting teams from over 300 Grama Seva division’s island wide with the participation of over 2500 teams and consisting 40,000 players, in the largest sports tournament in the island. The matches will then subsequently be worked off at district and national levels.

“The President’s Gold Cup is one of the most widely followed tournaments in Lanka with participation from all provinces in the country. The intensity of the competition sets the stage to attract the best of talent from the peripheries to compete and excel at a national and international level,” Hon.Ranjith Siyabalapitiya, Minister of Power and Renewable Energy said.
