The 42nd Battle of the Blues Ambalangoda One Day encounter between Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda and Devananda College, Ambalangoda ended in no result due to rain at UC Grounds, Ambalangoda.

Due to the prevailing weather conditions, the match was reduced to a 36-over game. Having won the toss, Devananda College skipper Kaveesha Kalpana invited Dharmasoka College to bat first.

Akash Mendis and Randul Samarahewa opened the batting for Dharmasoka College but they couldn’t provide a good start as the former was dismissed for just 1 run in the very first over of the innings.

However, the opening batter Samarahewa and Chanaka Jananga stroked fine half-centuries steering the Sokians to a respectable score of 216/9 in the allotted 36 overs. Kumudesh de Silva grabbed the attention with the ball for Devananda College picking up 3 wickets for 27 runs.
