DS Senanayake under 14 dominated while Rajans under 16 made a brilliant comeback to win it right at the end at the Navy grounds, Welisara.
The under 14 match got off to a action packed start as the DS juniors were quick to get the first try, breaking past the Rajan juniors defence to score right between the posts before successfully converting.
The DS juniors went onto get their second try towards the end of the first half but missed the conversion, ending the first half at 12-0 to the DS juniors.

The Rajan juniors started the second half strong getting their first goal of the game cutting the deficit down to 5 points, the DS juniors however responded with another try of their own.
Even though the DS youngsters were then reduced to 14 men temporarily when their number 10 was shown a yellow, the Rajan juniors did not have enough time to take advantage as the referee soon blew for full time.

The under 16’s got off to a dull start as the DS youngsters went onto get the only try of the first half ending the half 5-0.

The second half however was extremely thrilling as DS went onto score another try before Dharmaraja responded with their first try of the game. The DS youngsters failure to convert either of their tries proved to be very costly in the end as the Rajan juniors right in the dying moments of the game went onto equalize with their second try followed by a successful conversion which immediately after the ball sailed through the uprights the referee blew his whistle for full time.
