The inter school cricket encounter between Dharmapala College and Maris Stella College which commenced yesterday continued today at Kadirana grounds.
Dharmapala College who won the toss yesterday, reached a total of 264 for 7 in 98.1 overs in their first innings. H. Liyanage scored a massive century inclusive of 101 runs yesterday and H. Gallage notched up a half century today scoring 60 runs. A. Jayasanka succumbed to the opposition spinners on 30. S.Chathuranga took 3 wickets for 62 runs.
Maris Stella in reply scored 177 runs all out and were beaten by the Dharmapalians on first innings in 72.3 overs. For Dharmapla, V. Ravisanka scored a brilliant 77 runs while V. Rodrigo supported him with 33.
The Dharmapala bowlers H. Liyanage, C. Danushka and K. Jayalath went through the opposition with 3, 3 and 2 wickets a piece. The match ended with Dharmapalins winning on first innings.
