Sri Lankan batter Dhananjaya De Silva is set to play for the Abahani team in Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League in Bangladesh.
De Silva will leave the island tomorrow (17th April) to join his side, Abahani Limited, and is set to play 5 games in the Super League stage.
De Silva will be the third Sri Lankan player to join the tournament this season after Kusal Mendis and Chathuranga De Silva joined the tournament to play for Mohammedan Sporting Club & Brothers Union respectively. Mendis just stroked a brilliant century (101 runs off 91 balls), guiding his team Mohammedan Sporting Club to victory over Legends of Rupganj.
De Silva’s team Abahani Limited qualified for the Super League stage of the tournament taking the 2nd place of the points table after winning 7 matches in 10 games.
