Injured Sri Lanka fast-bowler Dhammika Prasad has been ruled out of the entire three-match Test series against England.
He will fly back home to recover from his shoulder injury which he sustained during the first warm-up game which was played against Essex last week. The replacement for Prasad has not been named yet by Sri Lanka Cricket.
Sri Lanka Coach Graham Ford was hopeful that his bowling spearhead would recover on time for the 2nd Test but according to the medical reports, Dhammika Prasad needs more time and rehab to return to cricket.
“I am hoping that we can get him bowling again fairly soon. Then we’ll have to build him up and get quite a number of overs bowled in the nets in order to prepare him for potentially the second and third Test.” Ford said few days ago.
