SSC vs Saracens
SSC posted a mammoth 444/4 declared with Shammu Ashan and Milinda Siriwardana both making centuries on the opening day.

It looked a typical flat SSC track before Dhammika Prasad, returning from a long injury lay off, produced a quality spell of swing bowling to reduce Saracens SC to 192/7 at close. Prasad picked up 3 wickets while left arm quick Vimukthi Perera chipped in with a couple.

Moors posted identical scores as SSC before they decided to declare their innings with just six wickets down. Promosh Perera’s day one century was the highlight of the innings, while Shanuka Dulaj and Chamara Silva posted half centuries.
CCC was 48/1 at close with Kusal Mendis who is going through a lean run of form, unbeaten on 21*.

NCC who was well on top after day one, secured a crucial 117 run lead against Tamil Union on day two. No batsman managed to make a half century but an all-round batting effort led them to 234 all out.

BRC’s Rumesh Buddhika hit one of the best centuries of the tournament so far, when he helped his team secure first innings points against a strong Chilaw Marians bowling outfit. BRC made 316 all out in reply to Chilaw Marians’ 293 all out, with Malinda Pushpakumara’s 5 wicket haul going in-vain.
