The Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association(SLSRFA) conducted a special meeting with the representatives of the respective Division 1A schools in order to discuss the prerequisites given by the Referees Association in order to officiate future league games.
ThePapare learns from reliable sources that the schools in concern have not agreed to play matches without spectators and have assured that the schools themselves will take full responsibility of the conduct of their supporters and are even willing to construct partitions between the supporters of the two schools in concern.
The host schools of the remaining games have also voiced that they will take maximum measures to ensure safety of the players and match officials alike.
The SLSRFA will submit this report to the Referees Society today, who will make the final decision as to whether the match officials will be available.
If the referees refuse to officiate the games and if any form of resolve is not presented even through bringing down a foreign referee, the SLSRFA will have no choice but to end the league with the current points table.
Another special meeting will be held with the Sports Ministry today at 3.00. Stay tuned with ThePapare.Com for further details.
