Opening batsman Danushka Gunathilaka has been added to the Sri Lanka squad for the third Test match against England which starts on Friday at SSC Grounds.
Sri Lankan Captain Dinesh Chandimal, who missed the 2nd Test due to a groin injury will also miss the 3rd match, as he has not yet recovered from the injury he sustained during the 1st Test in Galle.

Youngster Charith Asalanka, who was named as the replacement for Chandimal for the 2nd Test has not been included in the squad for the 3rd Test.
Danushka Gunathilaka, despite scoring a couple of fifties against South Africa in July was not named in the original Test squad due to an injury.

The inclusion of Gunathilaka also suggests that he’ll probably replace Kaushal Silva in the top of the batting order. Kaushal Silva has scored only just 41 runs in 4 innings at a mere 10.25 runs per innings in the 2 games of the series so far.
Vice-Captain Suranga Lakmal who led the team in the 2nd Test will lead the team in the 3rd match as well.
England lead the three-match series, 2-0 winning both matches in Galle and Pallekelle.
