Sheron Baskaran and Manendra Jayathilake put on a much needed partnership as D.S Senanayake College raised their way to 82 for the loss of 2 wickets by the 21st over.

St. Aloysius College Galle Vs St. Mary’s College, Kegalle
Back in Galle St. Mary’s College won the toss and decided to field first. After a steady opening partnership St. Aloysius College struggled to propel further as the St. Mary’s bowlers led by Ishan Weerasena picked up crucial wickets in the morning session. St. Aloysius College went into lunch with half the side back in the pavilion for 109 runs.
The post lunch session was important for both teams but a spirited Aloysius tail took their team pass the 200 run mark in the 60th over with eight wickets down. The Aloysians were bowled out for 248 in the 74th over thanks to a fighting knock by Chathura Prabath.
After been bowled out for 244 the Aloysians wanted to finish the day off on a high note.
Vinduka Malshith was on a roll with the ball as he ripped through the St. Mary’s batting line up picking four wickets. The boys from Kegalle were in a difficult position at 46 for the loss of 6 wickets as umpires Jayweera and Chanaka called the end of the day’s’ play.
