2009/10 1st XI Team managed to take honors against 2022/23 1st XI Team in the drawn Cricket Battle of Careyites played at Wesley College Grounds.
Ray Rizvi, the skipper of the 2009/10 1st XI Team won the toss and opted to bat first. However, things didn’t go as planned for them as they were bowled out for 108.
Rawzan Caffoor and Arshel Walgamage were brilliant with the ball for the 2022/23 1st XI Team as they picked up 3 wickets each.

In reply, the 2022/23 1st XI Team had a terrible time with the bat as they were restricted to 56 runs for their first innings. Preethi Chathuranga was the best bowler on the show for the 2009/10 1st XI Team as he picked up 4 wickets for 10 runs.
2009/10 1st XI Team began their 2nd innings 52 runs ahead and posted 144/5 at the close of play for the day. Isuru Amila was impressive with the bat as he made unbeaten 62 runs off 61 balls with 9 fours and 2 sixes.
