The illustrious Singer Schools Rugby League’s 2018 edition will kick off on the 3rd of March 2018 as the defending champions of the crown, Royal College host Kingswood College for the first game.
A total of over 100 teams will participate in the Singer Schools Rugby League this year spanning across three divisions. The Division I ‘A’ tournament that will kick off during early March will consist of two rounds and twelve teams. Each team will play five opponents according to their respective groupings and later the top 4 in each group will progress to the Cup championship.
The bottom two teams in each group will join the top teams in Division I ‘B’ to compete for the Plate title.

This year, there will be more than 15 new schools joining the competition and will start their journey in the sport in Division III. In that list will be 3 representations from Jaffna as well.

Registration for the schools by the governing body, the Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association (SLSRFA) have commenced and will conclude by the end of the month.
