As the last match for the day, played under the lights the scores were limited below half centuries but the match gained much attention from the huge basketball audience.

Taking a late start on to the scoring board D. Rajapaksha was the first to get a 2 point basket for Colombo Bulls 2 – 0. It was a hard gain; since the start Bulls have missed two three pointers, one 2 point shot and even two free throws. Moratuwa was able to reply to the 2 points with an opportunistic free throw to settle the scores. But from that point onwards the game was always led by Colombo Bulls.

Struggling in the first quarter, though substitution came in Moratuwa was not able to make it up for the missing points; Bulls went on hammering them reaching a massive point gap of 14 towards the end of the first quarter – 7-21.

Even at the beginning of the second quarter, taking maximum advantage of the jump ball start Bulls were able to make a 3 pointer. D. Rajapakshe was contributing to Bulls with these three points. From that point onwards taking a slow movement in the scores, both teams were onto lot of passing with less tries for baskets. This drag cost a lot for the final scores of both the teams – leaving them under a half century. The highlight of the second quarter was the turnover double dribble by S. De Mel of Moratuwa. This gave in a couple of additional points to his camp finally dropping down the point difference to 13 points at the end of second quarter.

The game was continuing at a slow phase and the players were not looking for long shots even at the third quarter. Colombo bulls were able to make only three baskets in the third quarter; for a winning team this was surprisingly a low number. Sure, considering percentiles the scores were overwhelming good. C. Fernando and D. Alwis having 100 percent accuracy in 3 pointers for Moratuwa. But considering the number attempts approximately 20 were opted within all four quarters. With the intensification in the game later on, the numbers further reduced.

The final quarter of the game was for the fans. Though both teams were not successful at gaining a high score, the game was pretty intense and was mostly a showdown. The first shot to make, a two pointer by S. De Mel, was after three defensive rebounds. The show went on till the last minute; regardless the spectators knew it was an obvious win for Colombo bulls the heat of the game did not die till the very last second.
