Club Cricket Summary – SL Army crush Bloomfield; SL Ports vs NCC clash heading for a tight finish

The penultimate match day in the SLC Premier League Tournament 2014/15 – Super Eight stage ended on Saturday with SL Army SC crushing Bloomfield by 9 wickets while the league title deciding clash between SL Ports Authority and NCC is heading for a tight clash with the latter needing 229 runs with only 5 wickets at hand going into the final day tomorrow. 

SL Ports vs NCC

Mystery Spinner Tharindu Kaushal took 8 wickets in the SL Ports 2nd innings while Dhananjaya De Silva struck a glorious ton at P. Sara Oval grounds. 

Chasing 311 runs to win, NCC were struggling at 82 for 5 at stumps on day 3 as left-arm spinner Malinda Pushpakumara took 3 important wickets.

Leg-spinner Seekuge Prasanna took 7 wickets as SL Army SC recorded a 9-wicket win over Bloomfield at Moors grounds.

Tamil Union won the first-innings points but Moors have hit back strongly to take the upper hand in their match at CCC grounds.
