Three of the top teams in the domestic cricket arena in Sri Lanka, Colts CC, SSC and Ragama CC failed to book their place in the Super Eight stage of the SLC Premier League Tournament 2014/15 as the group stage finally came to an end on 1st of March.
Top four teams from each group A and B will now progress to the Super Eight stage which starts on 5th March and those games will be 4-day encounters while the rest of the teams will vie for the Plate Championship.
In the final week of the group stage, SSC and CCC registered outright wins while other games ended as drawn games.
SSC vs Chilaw Marians
Leg-spinner Jeffrey Vandersey’s 9-wicket match bag helped SSC register a comprehensive 10-wicket win over Chilaw Marians at R. Premadasa Stadium.

CCC vs SL Army
Right-arm off spinner Maduka Liyanapathiranage’s 6-wicket haul in the 2nd innings helped CCC shut down SL Army by 137 run at Panagoda.

Angelo Jayasinghe, Lahiru Milantha, Sachith Pathirana and Kusal Janith Perera slammed tons in a high-scoring drawn game at Colts grounds.
