The SLC Premier League Tournament’s Super Eight stage began on 5th March (Thursday) around the country as the top 8 teams of this season started their 4-day competition to decide the best cricket playing club in the country.
The specialty of this four-day tournament is that matches will be played in neutral grounds assigned by the tournament committee. Four centuries were scored on the opening day by Kithurwan Vithanage (Tamil Union), Rumesh Buddhika (Tamil Union), Asela Gunarathne (Army) and Irosh Samarasuriya (Moors).
