There was an early chance which Alvaro Morata attempted but was denied by a tackle. Chelsea, on the frontline in the first few minutes, a good save came by Asmir Begovic who defended Morata as Cesar Azpilicueta came forward from the right.
Shortly after, Bournemouth had two chances one of which came from a David Luiz bad pass and the other a high shot from a corner.
Jorginho had a shot from a corner but it was grabbed by Begovic. Callum Wilson missed an even greater chance running off David Luiz’s shoulder. It was followed by a foul by Marcos Alonso for slipping the Bournemouth player. Chelsea maintained good possession as Alonso had his effort bounce off the post after a deflection.

Chelsea had good play while Eden Hazard grabbed a chance with Alonso whose shot was saved by Begovic. Pedro, Chelsea’s leading scorer found the back of the net with Olivier Giroud providing the assist.
Hazard tried and wriggled in the area and attempted a long shot which was blocked. The efforts did not go to waste as Hazard with an unstoppable shot claimed the second goal for Chelsea in the dying minutes.

Manchester City v Newcastle United
Raheem Sterling’s opener and a thunderbolt of a strike from Kyle Walker gave Manchester City a 2-1 win over Newcastle United at the Etihad Stadium.
Sterling opened the scoring eight minutes into his 100th Premier League appearance for City, cutting inside and curling wonderfully past Martin Dubravka.
Newcastle were level on the half-hour mark as DeAndre Yedlin arrived to convert Salomon Rondon’s cross from six yards.
Walker’s first City goal was worth the wait, a powerful, low strike from distance that found the bottom left corner seven minutes into the second half.
The three points move Manchester City to third, two points behind leaders Liverpool. Newcastle remain 18th with one point.

Brighton v Fulham – Glenn Murray scored twice as Brighton & Hove Albion came from behind to draw 2-2 with Fulham.
Fulham broke the deadlock on 43 minutes when Andre Schurrle finished neatly after receiving Jean Michael Seri’s fine through-ball. The visitors extended their lead on 62 minutes, Aleksandar Mitrovic cutting inside and scoring on the rebound after his initial shot was saved.
Murray pulled a goal back five minutes later as he met Anthony Knockaert’s cross. The striker then doubled his tally by converting an 84th-minute spot-kick conceded by Mitrovic.
Crystal Palace v Southampton – Southampton earned their first victory of the Premier League season with a 2-0 win at Crystal Palace.
After a goalless first half, Southampton took the lead on 47 minutes when Cedric Soares’ pass found Danny Ings and he slotted the ball through the legs of Wayne Hennessey.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg added a second for Southampton in stoppage time to move them up to 10th place, with Palace now 12th after a third consecutive defeat.
Everton v Huddersfield – Two goals in three first-half minutes meant Everton and Huddersfield Town shared the points at Goodison Park.
Philip Billing headed Huddersfield into the lead from a 34th-minute corner but Dominic Calvert-Lewin restored parity just two minutes later, glancing in Lucas Digne’s cross.
West Ham v Wolverhampton Wanderers – Adama Traore scored the only goal in added time to earn Wolverhampton Wanderers their first victory since returning to the Premier League.
