Sri Lanka Cricket has made a decision to conduct the 2nd ODI in Hambanthota on 26th due to the bad weather conditions in Colombo.
This decision was taken on a request from the National Curator who has confirmed that the ground will not be fit to play the 2nd ODI in Colombo on the 27th of August 2014. Due to the continuous bad weather condition the ground is soggy and the pitch is not in good playing condition since it has been covered for the last few days. Accordingly its estimated that 3 days of sunshine will be needed to bring back the ground to a normal condition.
This decision has been consented to by the two teams and the host broadcaster Ten Sports.
Whilst the tickets purchased for the Colombo game on the 27th will be valid for this game, all unutilized tickets will be refunded by Sri Lanka Cricket from the 2nd September to 10th September 2014 between 9 am and 4 pm.
