As Sri Lanka is expected to take on Hong Kong in the Under 20 Sevens title decider, prominent player Chamod Fernando has been ruled out owing to a neck injury.
The former Isipathana player suffered a injury in the semi-final encounter against South Korea and Sri Lanka will be forced to play with a squad of 11 for the final.
Fernando who was pivotal in the Sri Lanka’s progress so far will be surely missed when he is needed the most. He was on point with his conversions and the Tuskers will have to play the final without his services.
