Fast bowling all-rounder Chamika Karunaratne and chinaman bowler Lakshan Sandakan have been added to the Sri Lanka Test squad as replacements for injured fast bowlers Lahiru Kumara and Dilshan Madushanka.
Sri Lanka Test skipper Dimuth Karunarathne confirmed in post-match media conference of 1st Test against Bangladesh that injured Lahiru Kumara and Dilshan Madushanka will not play the second Test against Bangladesh which will begin on 29th April at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
The 24-year old fast bowling all-rounder Chamika Karunaratne and the 29-year old Lakshan Sandakan have been included in the Test squad as the replacements for the injured duo.
Karunaratne has played only a single Test match representing Sri Lanka two years ago against Australia. He has played 39 first-class matches and picked up 73 wickets at 35.76.
Sandakan who has been a regular feature in the Sri Lanka Test squad has played for Sri Lanka in 11 Tests and picked up 37 wickets at 34.48.
