Ten Sri Lankan cricketers have signed on for Cricket South Africa’s new T20 League.
The wicket-keeper batter Niroshan Dickwella, fast bowlers Dushmantha Chameera, Matheesha Pathirana, Nuwan Pradeep, Vishwa Fernando, seaming all-rounders Chamika Karunaratne, Dhananjaya Lakshan and the spinners Maheesh Theekshana, Akila Dananjaya and Seekkuge Prasanna have been signed up as marquee players for CSA T20 League.
Sri Lankan representation at the South African franchise-based T20 League is the second largest among the direct overseas signings the league has made so far. With 11 players signed on for the league, England has made the largest representation.
CSA T20 League will make its debut season in January next year as a 6-team franchise-based tournament in South Africa.
