Thomians young and old from the ‘school by the sea’ and its affiliates are to compete in a fund raiser triathlon supported by Ceylinco Insurance as insurance sponsor, in January 2014.
Organised by the Old Boys’ Association together with the Parent Teacher Association and the students of the College, the triathlon is to raise funds for the new commerce building for the secondary school and to establish a Trust Fund to assist retiring and current teachers.

The triathlon will commence with swimming at the Bishop’s College and Ladies’ College swimming pools, walking/running to Havelock Park and the final leg of cycling to Mt. Lavinia where the event will culminate at a mini carnival. Participants will include students, old boys, parents, and teachers and would also include participation from affiliated schools St. Thomas’ Preparatory School, Colpetty, St. Thomas’ College, Bandarawela and St. Thomas’ College, Gurutalawa.
All triathlon participants should obtain a participatory card from the College by collecting Rs. 3,000/- per card. Participants would be entitled to a triathlon sports T-shirt and a cap, the organisers said.
