CDB Finance emerged champions of MCA “Ban-Fin” Cricket Sixes 2023

Citizens Development Business Finance (CDB) emerged champions of MCA “Ban-Fin” Cricket Sixes, conducted by the Mercantile Cricket Association.

CDB Finance registered a thrilling 1-run win over HNB in the final of the tournament held on Saturday (11th March) at Galle International Cricket Stadium.

HNB batting first got off to an absolute flyer as Madhawa Warnapura led the way with a blistering 08 ball 35 not out ; Sandun Weerakkody (21) & Tharusha Fernando (19 not out) continued with the onslaught to take HNB to the magical 03 figure mark in 05 overs (100/1).

Adeesha Tillakaratne (34*) and Chanaka Ruwansiri (30) were involved in a whirlwind partnership, for CDB Finance to chase down 100 runs and snatch a last ball win over HNB.

In reply, CDB Finance chased down the target in the last delivery of the innings. Chanaka Ruwnasiri of CDB Finance won three main trophies and was adjudged man of the final.
