The Sri Lankan national men’s volleyball team registered their first win against Afghanistan in the ongoing Central Asian Volleyball Championship 2024.
In the first couple of games, Sri Lanka encountered a significant setback as they suffered defeats, the Sri Lankan contingent bounced back with a dominant performance, defeating Afghanistan in straight sets (3-0).

The Lankans displayed disciplined and well-coordinated plays, rectifying the mistakes that hampered them earlier in the tournament.
Their focus now shifts to their next challenge – a clash against Iran tomorrow, the 15th of May, at 1.00 PM IST.
