The second match of the seventh day of the Carlton Basketball Championships 2014 was held between Sri Lanka Navy SC vs Sri Lanka Army SC under the women`s category.
The sailors emerged victorious over soldiers in style when they daggered the hearts of the Army SC supporters over a forty three point lead when the score board read in favour of them at the end of forty minutes.
The game commenced with the traditional jump ball start handing over the first possession to the Navy SC. Capitalising on the passion they gained Navy SC went on for a ten-zero run during the first few minutes of the game. It was much of a single-sided game witnessed through-out the entire forty minutes of the game. Army SC showed lack of experience and practice against a heavily armoured Navy outfit. It would be rather defined as Army SC stepped into the game with a newly bloomed team. Though the army outfit lacked experience on the game the sea-women came in aggressively when they didn`t let Army SC to lead the game at any given point.
The commendable fact on the Army SC outfit was how aggressive the opponents were they never gave up their chase though they had a deficit of forty three points at the end of the game.
