Golden boot winner Miharu Ramanayake struck twice one each in each half to give British School the lead to edge out Lyceum girls 3-0 while their male counter-parts recorded a shock 3-1 win over Lyceum boys to annex both girl’s and boy’s titles at the Inter-International School Soccer Championship finals played at the Torrington grounds on Friday.
Miharu gave the early lead to the winners with a powerful kick just minutes before the short whistle and struck again in the dying moments seal a comfortable win. They also had an own goal courtesy Lyceum girls.
In the boys final, Lyceum were hot favourites to win the title, but the British school produced some impressive performances to snatch a thrilling win. Darren Hall, Ceaser Brown and Boyoung Jun Park scored a goal each for the winners. Darren Hall won the golden boot award in the boys category.
