Sri Lanka’s injury worries continue as the left-arm seamer Binura Fernando has been ruled out of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup due to a hamstring injury.
Fernando who played Sri Lanka’s last Super 12 game against Australia yesterday (25th October) left off the field after clutching at his right hamstring bowling just five deliveries into Australia’s innings.

Fernando will be Sri Lanka’s sixth injury casualty at the ongoing T20 World Cup after the batters Pathum Nissanka, Danishka Gunathilaka and fast bowlers Dushmantha Chameera, Dilshan Madushanka, Pramod Madushan got injured during the tournament.
However, the seamer Madushan who got injured during the first-round game against UAE, has fully recovered from his injury and is likely to replace the injured Fernando in Sri Lanka’s playing XI against New Zealand in their next Super 12 game on Saturday (29th October).
