Sri Lanka national selectors have announced a 17-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against West Indies.
The 27-year old southpaw Charith Asalanka is set to lead the side as usual. One name that made headlines after the squad was announced, was the inclusion of Bhanuka Rajapaksa who is returning to Sri Lanka T20I side after 21 months.
Meanwhile, former Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka has been left out of Sri Lanka’s 17-member T20I squad to face West Indies.
The wrist-spinner Jeffrey Vandersay who bamboozled Indian batting lineup during the ODI series against India recently, has earned a callup to the national T20I setup.
The three-match series will be played on the 13th, 15th and 17th October at Dambulla International Cricket Stadium.
