The battle of the golds’ has been played out in Moratuwa between St. Sebastian’s College and Prince of Wales’ College for over a quarter century . For the past 3 years the old boys of the two Moratuwa schools living in United Arab Emirates also have played an Old Boys Big match in Dubai and Sharjah.  Now this Friday the 24th of March 2017 they are playing the old boys big match for the 4th consecutive year at the Ajman Oval Grounds in the northern emirate of Ajman. It is a T20 game and is scheduled to  commence at 12 noon UAE time.

St Sebastian’s would be looking for a hat-trick of wins having won the match in the past 2 years. On the other hands Prince of Wales would be trying their best to lay their hands on the trophy after 3 years. St Sebastian’s would be captained by former college first eleven skipper Janitha Kaushal while Cambrians would be led by Dhanuka Munasinghe. This has become one of the most prominent inter school events among the Sri Lankan expatriate community in UAE with the two incumbent school principals visiting UAE to be present and watch the match at the grounds in 2015. The old boys associations of the 2 schools have about 150 members combined living in UAE.

All are welcome to share the fun.
