The 42nd Ananda-Nalanda One Day encounter and the 31st POW- St. Sebastian’s One Day encounter will not be played on Sunday the 13th March as scheduled earlier, as a mark of respect for the late Mahanayaka of Asigiriya Chapter, Most Venerable Galagama Sri Aththadassi Thero whose last rights will be performed on that day. The 13th has been declared an official day of mourning in the island in honour of the late Mahanayake Thero.
The match between Ananda and Nalanda, has been postponed to the following Sunday, 20th of March while the POW vs St. Sebastian’s game will be played on the 27th of March. Neither game will see a change of venue.
