The 2nd Unofficial Test of Bangladesh A tour of Sri Lanka 2019 came to an end in a draw at Hambantota following long days at work for the Bangladeshi bowlers.

Following a great start the previous evening, the openers started the day at 126 runs, 19 runs ahead of the visitors. They remained unscathed for another 93 runs before Sangeeth Cooray was caught behind off Rishad Hossain. Cooray had a fantastic series with the bat following up his ton in the first game with a classy 89 in this game.
Kamindu Mendis joined Nissanka to put up a bowler-roasting 132-run partnership. Nissanka had already smacked an elegant 85 in the first-innings of the game and he bettered it with an alluring knock of 192 runs, demanding spotlight with the bat.
His stroke full knock saw 20 boundaries and a six in style. The right-hand pocket-rocket is showing maturity and class in his batting over the years. The Bangladeshi bowlers were unable to win him as he ended his innings in a suicidal run-out.

Mendis also made his case strong with an unbeaten 67 runs following his half-century in the first-innings. The trio had been in top-notch form in the past few months and excelled into their A games this series.
Right-arm seamer Mohammed Shiraz also impressed in the game with a fifer while left-arm spinner Prabath Jayasuriya also announced himself with 3 wickets in the game.
It was also a fine series for speedster Asitha Fernando and off-spinner Ramesh Mendis who picked 3 wickets each in the first game. It was a valuable opportunity for Ramesh Mendis at a time where Sri Lanka is in need of a genuine off-spinner for the longer format. He did manage to impress with good performances in the recent past ahead of his direct competition Nishan Peiris who went wicket less in this game.

Sri Lanka outplayed the Bangladeshi bowlers losing only 2 wickets in the innings and amassed 357 runs for the second-innings.
The series will now move to Colombo for the limited-over affairs with the 1st ODI scheduled for 9th of October at R. Premadasa International Stadium.
