In a groundbreaking moment for Sri Lankan martial arts, the Asian Security Group announced KFL fighter Nimesha Kumari as a Brand Ambassador for the next two years.
This landmark sponsorship, announced on July 19, 2024, promises to elevate Sri Lankan combat sports to new heights. Kumari is the first combat sportswoman outside of boxing to receive a brand ambassadorship.
Today’s press conference was a celebration of a milestone in this mission, highlighted by the announcement of Nimesha Kumari’s sponsorship. The panel at the press conference included Ilham Hossen, the Co-Founder/Creative Producer of KFL; Dayan Samasekara, the Director of Combat Sports of KFL; Shyam Impett, the Director of PR & Communication; Dimantha Jayawardena, the Chairman of Asian Security Group; Mr. Jamitha Gayan, Nimesha’s coach; and the star of the evening and sponsored athlete, Nimesha Kumari. The Asian Security Group’s sponsorship will provide Kumari with a professional stipend and funds for nutrition, training, trainer’s fees, and medical coverage. This comprehensive support is unprecedented in Sri Lankan martial arts and marks a significant milestone in Kumari’s journey as a professional fighter.
