A meeting between the President of the Asian Rugby Federation, Qais Al-Dhalai, and the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Sunil Kumara Gamage, was held today (18th April) at the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
During the discussion, the current state of Sri Lankan rugby was thoroughly analyzed. Both parties also highlighted the measures that should be taken to improve the standards of Sri Lankan rugby and its administration. Mr. Qais agreed to provide the fullest support of the Asian Rugby Federation to uplift this magnificent game in the island nation.
Asian Rugby Federation Vice President Rizwan Malik, Executive Committee Members Benjamin van Rooyen, Asanka Seneviratne, Gerald Prabhu, and National Selection Committee Chairman Priyantha Ekanayake were also present at the event.
