The Super 4 matches and the Final of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 will be played at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo as originally scheduled.

It was earlier reported that the authorities were in discussion to shift the said matches to Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota, due to persistent rain in Colombo.
However, ACC officials have changed their minds as the stakeholders were unable to reach a mutual agreement regarding the shift of the venues.
An official from SLC told ThePapare that Colombo will host the matches as presently scheduled. He said that there was an idea of moving those games to Hambantota earlier, but the stakeholders have finally decided to host the games at R. Premadasa Stadium as scheduled.

Accordingly, R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo will host as many as five games in the Super 4 stage, as well as the Final on September 17. The 1st round of the Asia Cup 2023, co-hosted by Sri Lanka and Pakistan, saw Multan, Pallekele and Lahore host Group A and Group B games.
