The Sri Lankans continue to dominate the ongoing franchise-based tournament, Everest Premier League, as Sandun Weerakkody, Dilshan Munaweera, Sahan Arachchige and Asela Gunaratne fired the tournament with match winning performances.
The left-handed batsman Sandun Weerakkody has been in terrific touch with the bat as he stroked his second consecutive half century of the tournament for Lalitpur Patriots, scoring 73 runs off 43 balls including 10 fours and 3 sixes at a strike rate of 169.76.

In his previous outing, Weerakkody smashed a fabulous knock of 58 runs off 41 balls with 2 fours and 5 sixes.
The dashing right hander Dilshan Munaweera, who was searching for some runs under his belt, came up with a typical Munaweera knock for his franchise team Biratnagar Warriors, smashing 59 runs off 39 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes at a strike rate of 151.28. He was pretty useful with the ball as well, where he managed to pick up a wicket for 13 runs in a 3-over spell.

The off-spinning all-rounder Sahan Arachchige, playing for Pokhara Rhinos, starred with both bat and ball in their game against Biratnagar Warriors and was awarded the Player of the Match award.
Arachchige scored 43 runs off 36 balls with 4 fours and a six while shining with the ball, taking a wicket for 4 runs in his 2-over spell. The all-rounder Asela Gunaratne was going all guns blazing with the bat in the same game, where he stroked a swashbuckling knock of an unbeaten 50 runs off 24 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes at a magnificent strike rate of 208.33.
