In reply, Eastern Warriors were unable start strong as opener Sandun Weerakkody fell early in the 1st over and from there on no one provided an impactful inning. Opposition skipper Thisara Perera and youngster Maheesha Theekshana contributed with 3 wickets apiece. Western Warriors managed to win the contest by a huge 73-runs placing them at the top of the points table.

Southern Warriors bowling attack responded well to the challenge against Northerners by restricting them to 125 runs inside 20 overs. Chasing the fairly modest total of 125, Southern Warriors opener Priyantha Rathnayaka provided the best possible start to his team with a blistering 49. Southerners innings collapsed in the middle overs due to Dasun Shanaka’s disciplined bowling but Wanindu Hasaranga’s patient knock contributed towards his teams win.
