The All Island U18 schools’ rugby championship, organized by the Sri Lanka Schools’ Rugby Football Association (SLSRFA), has reached the quarter final stage with the games set to be worked off on the 02nd of September at the Ananda College grounds.
In the Cup segment quarter finals, St. Joseph’s, who topped Group B in the Colombo segment, will take on St. Anthony’s, who topped Group D in the Kandy Segment. Kingswood College, who topped Group H in the Kandy segment, will take on St. John’s College, who surprised many by topping Group C which included Wesley College and Lalith Athulathmudali MMV.
Defending U18 champions Isipathana, who were impressive in the round robin games have received a bye and will play in the semi-final. Zahira College, who have been re-energized after gaining qualification to top flight at the end of concluded season, have also received a bye and will play the semi-finals .
The Bowl & Shield quarterfinals will also be worked off on the same day at the Ananda College grounds.
