Traditional fixture between Thurstan College and President’s College commenced today at Thurstan Main Ground in Colombo. After being put into bat first, hosts put on 321 runs on the board for their first innings. Ranesh Silva (59), Bawantha Jayasinghe (57), Pruthuvi Tharakshya (54) top scored with half-tons for the home side.

Abishek Liyanarachchi stroked a magnificent century in quick time. Teron Basker (46) and Muditha Lakshan (44) remained unbeaten in the middle when umpires called stumps. Match will continue tomorrow for day two.
