As the girls under 15 All Island Basketball Championship heats up, the semi-finalists of the tournament have been decided. Both semi-finals will be a repeat of the zonal qualifier finals of Colombo South and Colombo North.
In the first semi-final St. Bridget’s Convent will take on the unpredictable Holy Family Convent, Bambalapitiya and in the second semi-final St. Lawrence will take on the tournament host St. Joseph’s College, Nugegoda. Both semi-finals will be played at the St. Joseph’s College, Nugegoda courts today.
The first semi-final will start at 3pm. The girls from Bambalapitiya will be looking to dish out some sweet revenge after their bitter loss to the Bridgetines at the Colombo South Zonal final.
The second semi-final which is set to begin at 4.30pm will be penned down as an one sided affair, however St. Lawrence will surely no doubt dish out their best as they look to prove to their peers that the loss to St. Joseph’s was a fluke.
