Ashan Priyanjan led his domestic team, Sri Lanka Ports Authority Cricket Club to their maiden Premier League Championship when they defeated previous champions, Nondescript Cricket Club by 193 runs in the league-title deciding clash which took place at P. Sara oval stadium
NCC were struggling at 82 for 5 when play resumed on day 4 and the Ports Authority bowlers made sure their lower order batsmen were sent back to the pavilion immediately as NCC 2nd innings was restricted to only 117 runs with chief-wrecker Malinda Pushpakumara scalping 4 wickets while Sandun Weerakkody top-scored for the losing team with 31 runs.

Moors secured a close 30-run win over Tamil Union at CCC grounds to secure the 3rd place in the final points table.
Tamil Union were 76 for 5 at stumps on day 3 but a counter-attacking and unbeaten 91 by Ramith Rambukwella was not enough for them as they were bowled out for 196.

CCC cruised to a massive 282-run win over Badureliya SC at R. Premadasa Stadium.
After setting a mammoth 518 runs to win, CCC bowled out their opponents for only 235 with fast-bowler Dilesh Gunaratne and left-arm chinamen spinner, Lakshan Rangika taking 4 wickets apiece.

At the end of the long club championship, Badureliya skipper Milinda Siriwardene took the pole position in most runs scoring 1144 in 19 innings and he scored 3 tons to maintain an average of 67.29. Veteran NCC batsman Jehan Mubarak scored 1043 runs in 18 innings with an average of 65.18. Sri Lanka Army skipper Asela Gunaratne scored 850 runs in 8 matches with 4 centuries.
League winners, SL Ports Authority’s main man behind their success, Malinda Pushpakumara topped the bowling charts claiming 70 wickets in 10 games while mystery off-spinner from NCC, Tharindu Kaushal took 60 wickets in 8 games. Chilaw Marians’ fast-bowler Lahiru Gamage ended in the 3rd position with 54 wickets in 9 matches.
