The newly appointed members Headed by Nimal Lewke to the National Sports Council received their appointment letters from the Minister of Tourism and Sports Navin Dissanayake this morning at the Ministry.
Speaking at the occasion Minister Dissanayake stressed the importance of identifying the talented sports personnel from the rural level and improving their skills to the national and international standard to bring pride to the motherland.
Minister directed the members of the council to implement a systematical policy plan to achieve this target. He advised the members to meet regularly to discuss the issues pertaining in this regard.
