The Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union is looking for a Referee Manager responsible for ensuring that Sri Lanka Rugby continues to develop quality referees and referee support personnel operating at domestic and international levels, and to ensure High Performance Referees are recognized by the ARFU.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
Leadership:
· Provides overall vision and direction for the Referee Team in the development and maintenance of an infrastructure that supports our referees, and support staff to become Asian leaders.
· Evaluate and review the execution of operations plans to ensure business priorities are met and standards are consisten.t
Performance:
· Ensure training and development initiatives are introduced which are relevant in improving performance and efficiency.
· Manage Referee Coaches, Referee Selectors.
· Manage and responsible for the development of National Referee Squad.
· Manage referee recruitment selection, development, career paths and processes.
· Implement strategies that foster closer relationships between referees, players, coaches, selectors and administrators.
Business Planning & Budgeting:
· Manage the budget and operational plans.
· Monitor results on a monthly basis, comparing actual against budget and forecasts, noting major variances, supplying explanations and recommending corrective action.
Assignments:
· To ensure all Referee assignments are done on a timely manner consistent with the required standards for each game.
Competencies/Attributes:
· Proven leadership.
· Strong empathy for rugby issues.
· Ability to work with diverse groups of stakeholders and build successful win/win working relationships.
· Sound decision making capability.
· Analytical skills and ability to review.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Willing & able to work outside of normal working hours.
Essential Qualifications and Education (if applicable)
· Tertiary qualification or diploma, preferably in sports management, or coaching, or teaching.
