The Dialog – Mercantile Rugby Football ‘Sevens’ 2014, conducted by the Mercantile Rugby Football Association for the 44th year, will be held from May 30 June 1st at the CR&FC Grounds, Longdon Place.
The previous tournament with the participation of 44 teams was held on 10th & 11th August 2013 at the same venue, where MAS Holdings retained the ‘Cup’ Championship, beating Nation Lanka Finance 31/17.
The tournament breaks new ground this year, as SLRFU has given a slot to the Mercantile ‘Sevens’ in their busy rugby calendar.
According to SLRFU 2014 calendar the rugby fever is heighten in May due to Asian Five Nations Tournament held prior to Mercantile ‘Sevens’.
