Rizan Saldin played for the Tuskers during 2000-2004 and was known for his brilliant side steps and game management.
Regrettably, Saldin a father of three is now diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease. He needs an immediate kidney transplant for any chance of recovery.
The sum estimated for this transplant and recovery is Rs 3.000.000/- (Rupees Three Million). His fellow rugby mates and his coach Nazeem Ghaffoor (1998) has already collected Rs. 400.000/- and they are trying to speed up the process with publicity.

Since he hung up his boots he was involved in coaching the sports he loves. He was coaching the Zahira College 1st XV team and presently he is the junior rugby coach at Royal College Colombo.
