Sri Lanka National Women’s Baseball Team led by Army SC player Niluka Priyadarshani is competing in the IV BFA Women’s Baseball Asian Cup Qualifiers Tournament in Bangkok, Thailand.
Eight teams are in the fray for the qualifying spot and the pools are as follows,
- Group A : Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Iran
- Group B : Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia
In the opening game energetic Sri Lankan ladies locked their horns against the formidable Indian team. Though Sri Lankan lasses displayed a lot of dynamism, courage and commitment, Indians managed to secure a commanding win with a score margin of 14 – 04.
